Quarantine for Drosophila Stocks |
| We accept stocks from researchers and research institutes at home and abroad and maintain them as clean stocks. To prevent contamination of mites and fungi, we carry out a rigorous inspection for all incoming fly stocks. |
Center 2nd floor
Maintenance of Drosophila stocks| After the inspection, Drosophila stocks will be allowed to move to the main stock room. The main culture rooms are kept at the constant temperature for twenty-four hours all year around. |  |

Mutation occurs at a low frequency in the stocks. In order to keep the genetic resources high quality, stocks are examined their genetic characteristics routinely (monitoring). |
