Four members from Korea Chemical Industry Council and five members from Japan Chemical Industry Association with an interpreter visited Kyoto DGRC.
They said they are now interested in Drosophila as a model species that can be alternatives to mammalian experimental animals. Replacement, reduction and refinement of animal experiments are important for chemical industry. We accepted many questions about Drosophila and the center activity from the visitors.
After their visit, we received a comment that they are not biologists but the center is very interesting for them.
